Mark Hirsch joins local artists and naturalists for a day of creative engagement in the studio and field.
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
The Aldo Leopold Center

The art of seeing nature is a creative discipline. Nature, like art, is not only an outward reality but an inward process as well. Freeing the young naturalist inside each of us is an act of creativity. Artistic expression expands, sharpens, and deepens our perception of nature.
In that creative vision, The Aldo Leopold Foundation and New Tree School are pleased to offer a workshop on the “Art of Nature,” a day of creative engagement in the studio and in the field.
The day will include presentations by Mark Hirsch and other local artists and naturalists, hikes, and creative exercises. This workshop will be active, reflective, intensive, and engaging.
Each student will have the opportunity for mentoring with each of the instructors and for reflective time in the winter wild.
Enrollment will be limited to keep the group small. Join us for a day of exploring art, nature, seeing, and creativity!
